Status: Monitoring Tropical Storm Emily

Message: Monitoring Tropical Storm Emily

Webber International University is monitoring the approach of Tropical Storm Emily (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at1+shtml/143934.shtml?gm_track#contents).

While we are not expecting any disruption to normal campus activity, we are expecting a rainier and windier than normal afternoon and evening. Therefore, in an effort to limit the number of employees driving long distances under deteriorating road conditions, we have made several changes:

  1. Supper will be take out only and served between 3:00 and 3:15pm.   All rooms are equipped with refrigerators and microwaves enabling those who eat here to enjoy supper at their leisure. Please plan accordingly as we are hoping to have the cafeteria cleaned and closed and the staff on their way home shortly after 3:15pm.
  2. Because we are anticipating deteriorating road conditions, employees with long drives home should consult with their immediate supervisors about the possibility of leaving early.

A reminder that texting Webber to 888777 subscribes you to our emergency text notification system. Thank you for visiting http://www.WebberEmergency.com, the official emergency notification system of Webber International University.
