Webber International University has continued to monitor the approaches of Tropical Depression Fred and Tropical Storm Grace.
While by their very nature tropical weather disturbances can be difficult to predict, at this point Fred, while expected to strengthen over the next few days, is also expected to stay well to our west and is not expected to pose any threat to us.
Grace’s current track places her in a position to bring us some heavy rains and strong winds late next week, but this storm is still so far away that there remains great uncertainty in its track.
The University’s President, together with the Babson Park Campus Emergency Team are continuing to monitor the situation. Should severe weather seem likely as the path of Grace becomes clearer over the next few days we will, if necessary, implement our severe weather precautions and procedures.
